There are many pests that we have to deal with every day. Sometimes we may be unaware of the dame they cause and it could cost a lot. Sometimes some places become inhabitable due to pest problems. Things go to waste and food can’t be eaten. These problems have always been there but with today’s technology and advances in many fields we are able to contain pests and their effects on us. Furthermore here’s a list of pests that affect our homes.

Termites

Termites are one of the most common pests that affect our homes.  They are also one of the most damaging pests as well. They cause billions of dollars’ worth of damages. A termite is a tiny insect but in large numbers they can cause serious damage. There various treatments for termites that are done to wood but these last only for a couple of years and the treatment may have to be regularly to keep resistant, consider termite control. Further some people are unaware of the damage. The outside of anything made of wood usually may look normal but when there is pressure it may crack and break.

Ants

Ants are another pest that does not affect structures but there may be all over the house. Wherever there’s food ants may scramble and some ants when they get onto your body they may bite leaving the skin swollen and red. Ants can become large problems and it may be difficult whenever food is laid on the table. Ants may also climb onto cupboards and on other food such as sugar. You may have to dispose the food in that case. There are many types of ants and not all may be pests but some are.

Booklice

Booklice are not really lice but bugs that are quite common. They are attracted to damp places and feed on mould. Unlike other pests booklice does not cause disease, cause damage or hurt anything but there mere presence in large numbers is a nuisance. Booklice control usually includes keeping the house dry without any water leaks or anything.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are pests that carry disease. There has been research to show that children growing up at homes where there are cockroaches develop asthma and allergies. Cockroaches always shed skin and this can carry a lot of germs that can affect us. They also stay in drainage and pipes that are full of filth. Cockroaches are repulsive creatures and some have the ability to fly and get on people or food.

These are some of the pests that affect us. It is vital we take necessary precautions to get rid of these pests and be free of sickness and disease. There are many methods to take care of these pests and we should use these methods regularly to be completely free of trouble.
